It's More Fun in Malayan!

Do you want your High School to be Memorable? I guess you should enter at MALAYAN HIGH SCHOOL OF SCIENCE for sure no thought your high school would be fun!

Brief History:
Malayan High School of Science is the first private science high school in the Philippines. On June 5, 2005, the school was formally incorporated as the Malayan High School of Science (MHSS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the MapĂșa Institute of Technology. The school opened its doors to 112 freshmen students on June 14, 2006.

Dr. Reynaldo B. Vea, president of MapĂșa and the Malayan Colleges Laguna (MCL) and the first valedictorian of the Philippine Science High School, has served as MHSS president since inception. Though very young, MHSS students have garnered a number of awards and prizes in inter-scholastic competitions in science, math, and even sports, a reflection in part of the commitment and competence of the school’s faculty and administration. More challenges lie ahead, and the school welcomes these as it strives to fulfill its mission and attain its vision to be a global center of excellence in secondary education – overall and in science and technology.

Malayan High School of Science has a Core Values composed of Discipline, Excellent, Commitment, Integrity and Responsibility or Malayan High called it DECIR. To implement these, Malayan always train their students to be independent individuals as they finish their High School. The way they teaches Malayan students are like college students and the subjects as well.

As one of the Seniors this year, I may say that Malayan is really a good school for each and every one. Because we are not only good at academics but also at non academics. For my own experiences in high school I have no regret that I entered at this school. The teachers are so nice that you become friends with them also all the personnel who works at Malayan are so approachable from the lowest person to our principal. All Malayan Students are friendly, won't give up easily and approachable. All Malayan students know each other.

I am wearing my uniform that time but when we arrived at Malayan it is to early and it is not necessary if you wear your uniform or not.

My first year at Malayan it was so great. I made many friends. Especially with the Seniors maybe because of my brother.

THINK Before You CLICK!

Now a day, we use social media, especially to teenagers like me. It is our daily habit to use the social media. The common site we usually using are facebook, twitter, and instagram. Where we can post our feelings, upload pictures and other stuffs. But do you know that there are also bad effects of using it? Some people using it for bad purposes like Bullying.

We all know that bullying is usually happening at school. But in our generation it can now happen to social media that may cause trouble to the one that bullied. They may destroy their own lives because of a simple teasing. So we should know how to use properly the Social Media so that we avoid hurting and offending the feelings of others.

The MOTTO of Social Media "THINK before you CLICK!"

That every time you want to post something you should think a hundred or a thousand times if you really want to post it or not. You should know what are the risks or may happen if you do it.

Top 5 Tourist Destinations in the Philippines

Do you want to tour around the Philippines? Are you an adventurer or one who wants leisure and relaxation? Our country has them all! Well I guess you should see these top 5 tourist spots that I have visited.

A N T I Q U E

Aptly called a place where the mountains meet the sea,   Antique  prides  itself  with  its  cool and green  mountains that gently folds in a winding coastline, still untouched by urban chaos.

Its  clean  sands  and abundant sea   are  caressed by the rain coming from the mysterious  Mt.Madja-as,  that still serves as a challenge to seasoned mountaineers. . The 2.100 meters high secret mountain keeps its forest and vegetation evergreen with fourteen waterfalls around its base. A journey to the mountains of Madja-as is an experience, a wonderful mountain scenery, different species of flora, rare orchids, pitcher plants, wild herbs, wild deer and boar, a bonsai forest, a lagoon, and a rainforest that provides his own micro-climate. Famous for the endearing and hospitable nature of it’s people, your visit will surely be a most pleasant and memorable experience.

The Province of Antique belongs to Panay, really a tropical, natural and hidden island-paradise with a wide range of mountains, caves, rivers, waterfalls, tropical islands, lonesome beaches, coral reefs, .... and friendly people they welcome you by their hearts.

La Parola Orchids Beach Resort opened his gates for customers last April 2011. You will find us at Barangay Amparo in the town of Patnongon, on the natural beach with his river delta and the Salt makers, surrounded by rice fields, palm tries and mangroves. Enjoy this serene and rustic small-town ambiance of Antique in a Spanish - Mediterranean setting with superb amenities and services.

HOW TO GET TO LA PAROLA ORCHIDS BEACH RESORT?

From the Airports
We have 3 airports on the Island. Those are: Iloilo City in the south, Kalibo and Caticlan in the north. Caticlan is also known as the “Boracay airport”. The distance to La Parola Orchids Beach Resort is more or less the same, about 3 hours travel time from each airport. La Parola offers you a shuttle service from and to all airports, just make the arrangement and our service car will pick you up. We also offer a shuttle service to or from Boracay to La Parola Orchids Beach Resort.

By road, using Minibus or Autobus
La Parola Orchids Beach Resort is located at Brgy. Amparo, Patnongon, Antique, just a few miles away from the capital of Antique, San Jose de Buenavista. Have the driver to drop you off in Dalipe, San Jose de Buenavista, at the Patnongon terminal! There is a minibus service who will take you to the town of Patnongon and you won’t miss it since it is the well known Beach Resort in Antique. You can also use the Autobus or the RORO or you call us for pick up service.

Me, ate Donnabelle and auntie Ikit
I only know this place when my grandmother and I went to Antique for business. But before we go back to Manila my cousins at my father’s side invites me to hangout. So my auntie calls me early in the morning that day. But at first, we thought that our plans will be cancelled due to heavy rain.

Me, ate Regine and Jay-jay

When we just drop by first, eat snacks here so, we chat each other while waiting for the food. I’m with my five cousins and my auntie. They have two kinds of serving: Filipino dishes and German dishes. The owner of the Resort is the one that cook there specialty like their very own home made pizza. But we are not lucky to taste their pizza because the owner is on out of the country.

Then after eating our snack we go to their beach. They really have nice settings on how they design it. I remembered that it isn’t our plan to go to swimming but even we didn’t brought clothes, So that is not the reason not to swim so we ask our auntie and force her if we may swim. But my ate Regine didn’t join us but my 3 little guy cousins really want to jump to the beach.

While we're swimming the rain suddenly fall so even we don't want to end are enjoyment we had to stop it. But after that we ate dinner like we have a celebrating something that is especial. YUMMY! the food is really delicious and it's Filipino foods. Its so romantic here when it's dark.

After dinner, we play billiards and tour around the resort. I really really enjoyed and love this place. We left the resort by 10:00 pm. My uncle drive me home.
